The Round Demo
The Round from Medway had a raw, energetic sound capturing the spirit of the mid-‘80s. Their eponymous Demo EP leans heavily into gritty, straightforward guitar riffs, punchy drum beats, and intense vocal lines to create a gritty, no-frills vibe. A fiercely independent sound, intricately structured these gothic indie songs fall somewhere between Killing Joke and Siouxsie & The Banshees.
Cartoon Time
Recorded in the late 80s/early 90s, Graham Dodd and Trevor Mason built a 4-track studio in their respective home cellars. They merged their cassette recordings under the moniker Cartoon Time to produce an album of lo-fi goodness. The Super Tenants' Session, named after the strong beer, emerged blinking in the cold light of day.
